The Paradise of Birdwatcher Keoladeo Ghana National Park is one of the most popular bird sanctuary located in Bharatpur, in Rajasthan. It is situated at 184 kilometre away from Jaipur, 22 kilometre away from Agra, 39 kilometre from Mathura and 176 kilometre from Alwar. Bharatpur District is popular for Keoladeo National Park, a significant wintering region for migratory birds. The sanctuary is also known Keoladeo Ghana National Park or Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. It is located at 2 kilometres southeast of Bharatpur city and it is one of the prime attraction of Bharatpur. 
The sanctuary was established approximately 250 years back by Maharaja Suraj Mal. It was the private duck shooting reserve of the Maharajas of Bharatpur. This site was created as a Bird sanctuary on 13 March 1956 under the name of Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. Later on 10 March 1982, the site was assigned as a national park and was named Keoladeo Ghana National Park. In 1985 that this national park was recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The national park currently attribute 5 species of amphibians, 7 species of turtles and 50 species of fishes, it is most famous for its avian fauna of 375 species of birds, including Pelicans, Cranes, Herons, Spoonbills and others.
From October and March is the best time to visit this sanctuary when the weather is pleasant and suitable for outdoor activities. Summers are extremely hot and during the monsoon is also hot with extreme humidity, hence the both seasons are not advisable to visit Bharatpur.

Government Museum is another attraction of Bharatpur. Kachahari Kalan that was the administrative block of the rulers of the Bharatpur state, in 1944, it was converted into a museum. The central wing of the museum houses the collections from the 2nd century that demonstrate the art and skill of the region. Main exhibits at the museum include sculptures, dating back to 1st to 19th century AD, which were found during the excavation of old villages. Apart from this it is also houses the miniature paintings of paintings of the Maharajas of Bharatpur on tree leaves.
Lohagarh Fort was built in 18th century by Jat ruler Maharaja Suraj Mal. It is the one of the strongest built in Indian history. Lohagarh Fort is known as the unique architectural monuments in Rajasthan. It is also one of the most famous attraction in Bharatpur.
 
Deeg Fort It is located at 32 km from Bharatpur. The fort was constructed by the rulers of Bharatpur State. The Jat king Badan Singh, he made this place at Deeg (the capital of the Jat kings before they shifted to Bharatpur) in 1721, after that his son prince Suraj Mal, started the construction of a fortress around the palace around 1730. The fort had deep moat and massive walls.
