Day 1 Arrival at Srinagar Local Sightseeing
Tour Highlight: Mughal Gardens, Chashme Shahi, Nishat & Shalimar Bagh, and Shankaracharya Temple
On arrival at Srinagar Airport. Meet and greet by local representative then check in to the Houseboat. After freshen up start city tour covering Mughal Gardens, Chashme Shahi, Nishat & Shalimar Bagh, and Shankaracharya temple. Do some shopping around Dal Lake.
Chashme Shahi (The Royal spring)- Chasma Shahi Garden of Kashmir, offers a striking view of the scenic Dal Lake and the neighboring mountains. Also, a number of fruits, flowers and chinar trees grow in the garden, adding to its appeal.
Dal lake - You may enjoy Shikara Ride by visiting floating market at Dal Lake. In that lake you can also see floating islands of vegetation which is an artificial floating island. And also, can visit to Hari Parbat situated
at the near of Dal Lake.
Nishat (The Garden of Pleaser)- Nishat Bagh offers a splendid view of the Dal Lake as well as the snowcapped Pir Panjal Mountain range, and blooming flowerbeds, trees, fountains. Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love)- Attractions of the Shalimar Bagh include a number of fountains, shaded trees and innumerable varieties of flowers that blossom in spring and autumn. And also, a light and sound show is organized in the garden every evening, during the period of May to October. Pari Mahal - Pari Mahal has 6 terraces, and each terrace has different stories
Dinner and overnight stay at Houseboat.
Day 2 Srinagar – Sonamarg – Srinagar (82 Kms approx.)
Tour Highlight: Thajiwas Glacier
After breakfast check out from the houseboat and transfer to the hotel in Srinagar. Later drive to Sonmarg, which is one of the most beautiful drives from Srinagar. You may take a pony ride (at your own cost) to Thajiwas Glacier where snow remains round the year.
Return to the Hotel in Srinagar by the evening for an overnight stay.
Day 3 Srinagar – Gulmarg – Srinagar (51 Kms approx.)
Tour Highlight: Gondola Lift
After breakfast excursion drive to Gulmarg. Check into the hotel after arrival. Later enjoy a pony ride or enjoy a Gondola ride (cable car) to Kangdori/Alpatra (at your own cost). Gondola Lift: For a fun filled ride of a most unusual kind, Gulmarg's newly constructed Gondola lift from high above Gulmarg, through pine clad slopes, is exhilarating.
A huge cup shaped meadow, lush and green with slopes where the silence is broken only by the tinkle of cowbells, Gulmarg looks like a fantasy set in a film and not surprisingly have been the venue of several films.
The valley of Gulmarg, a large meadow about 3-sq-kms in area, stands at 2,730 meters, 56-km south west of Srinagar. The name means 'Meadow of Flowers' and in the spring it's just that, a rolling meadow dotted with
countless colorful Bluebells, Daisies, Forget Me Not's and Buttercups. The valley itself is about 3-km long and up to a km wide.
All around are snow-capped mountains, and on a clear day one can see all the way to Nanga Parbat is one direction and Srinagar is another. It's a popular day trip from Srinagar to Gulmarg, although many people extend their stay or use it as a base for trekking. The road from Srinagar rises gently towards the lower slopes of the range, passing through rice and maize fields. Prime Attractions of Gulmarg:
Skiing & Heli skiing:
Asia's one of the most famous Heli-skiing resort is at Gulmarg, Kashmir. Come December, and the verdant green slopes of Gulmarg are blanketed with snow, forming some of the finest natural slopes for ski runs of all levels.
Golf Courses:
Gulmarg also has one of the world's highest green golf courses, as well as a clubhouse, which is a historical building in its own right. For the would-be golfer, there are golf sets on hire, pros to instruct one in the game, and temporary memberships. Naturally, these facilities are available to players as well, except that serious golfers usually carry their sets along.
Back to the Srinagar hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 4 Srinagar Departure
After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Srinagar Airport for your journey back home with sweet memories.
