Ashokan Rock Edict situated on Dhauli Giri Hills is a famous tourist attraction of Bhubaneshwar as it plays an important role in Kalinga war fought by Emperor Ashoka and is believed that this edict is the oldest record in the Indian history. There are around 33 inscriptions which is primarily Pali, carved on the stones, pillars and boulders of the edict.
