Aizawl is a one of the most popular hill station in the state of Mizoram. The name Mizoram has been derived from Mi (people), Zo (lofty place, such as a hill) and Ram (land). Literally Mizoram means "land of the hill people". It was selected as site to construct fortified post under the orders of officer Dally of Assam police in 1890. Aizawl is the capital city of Mizoram and it is a charming hill station in North East India. It is also the largest city in Mizoram. Due to its histrionic landscape and pleasing climate, it is considered to be the most beautiful place and is said to be more than a hundred years old. During the 18th century, chiefs and kings used to rule this area. Mizo people entered and settled here 300 years ago who are mainly belongs from China. Later it came under the hands of British. It is located to the north of the tropic of Cancer. With no doubt, Aizawl is extremely a place of scenic beauty. Chhimtuipui, which is also known as Chimtuipui or Kaladan is the biggest river that flows through this city. It offers several tourist attraction places to the tourist such as - Mizoram State Museum, Durtlang Hills, Tamdil Lake, Paikhai, Sibuta Lung, Khawnlung Wildlife Santuaryand so on.

  • Durtlang Hills, Aizawl: Aizawl is a place where nature speaks and tourist meets. It is truly an unspoiled destination and one of the most favourite place for every traveller that offers prismatic views of Aizawl city. During morning, the viewpoint of the city looks like shiny golden plate during the morning. While visiting Aizawl, one must visit to Durtlang Hills. This visit will create memories for all travellers.  
  • Mizoram State Museum, Aizawl: Mizoram State Museum is one of the most prominent tourist visiting place in Aizawl. Due to its scenic beauty, it attracts maximum tourists every year. This museum is extremely rich in heritage and glorious history of India that preserves old artefacts, traditional dossiers, varied collection of wildlife specimens and tribal weapons. and such stuff of ancient times. It is preserved by Indian Government.
  • Solomon Temple, Aizawl: This temple is a symbol of love to Jesus. In Mizo language this temple is also known as Kohhran Thianghlim, which is rendered 'The Holy Church'. It was founded by Dr. L.B. Sailo in 1984.  The magnificent white architecture of the temple cum church has been attracting curious tourists from around the world.
  • Sibuta Lung, Aizawl: Sibuta Lung is an important historical monument in the state of Mizoram. It is 20 km away from Aizawl. It is a sandstone establish at Tachhip village, which is 20 Km away from Aizwal. There is a great myth behind this monument that is 300 years back.
