Ajmer is a popular district in the state of Rajasthan which was formerly known as Ajmer. It is located around 130km from the Pink City, Jaipur. Adhai Din Ka Jhonpda, Ajmer: It is a popular mosque in the city of Ajmer. Literally, Adhai Din Ka Jhonpra means “shed of 2½ days”. It got its name from the fact that a fair used to be held here for two and a half days. It was built by Qutub-ud-Din-Aibak, first Sultan of Delhi, in 1199 AD. This mosque was built with the materials from destroyed hindu and Jain temples.
