Anjuna beach is in Anjuna which is a small census town located in Goa. Anjuna like most of Goa was once held by Portuguese and is known for St. Michael's Church which was founded in 1595. The beach became famous globally during 60s with the rise of Hippie culture and attract tourists from world over. The beach is known for trans-parties or beach parties and flee market. The parties are common during the tourist season and flee market is hosted on every Wednesdays, where tourists can find variety of things ranging from jewellery, clothing to edibles like fruit and fresh sea catches.

Main Attractions
  • St. Micheal’s Church: It was built in 1613 and in and is one of the oldest church of Goa. It has a large welcoming door and two towers on either side.
  • Anjuna Beach: The beach is popular for its natural beauty with swaying palms tree and soft powder white sands. This beach is also an ideal for full moon parties which is held especially during Christmas and New Year.
  • Tiracol Fort: It is one of the most Prominent attractions of the destination that was captured by the Portuguese and rebuilt in 1764. The fort also has an old church in its courtyard known as St. Antony Church.
  • Chapora Fort: Situated on Anjuna-Beach in Goa, Chapora Fort is one of the popular sightseeing attractions among the tourist. The fort was established by Adil Shah, the ruler of Bijapur. The fort has been named as the town of Shah that is Shahpura.  The Portuguese re-established it and made underground tunnels in order to escape at the time of any emergency in 1617.
  • Mascarenhas Mansion: Located on the Anjuna-Beach in north Goa, Mascarenhas Mansion is known for its splendid balconies and stained glass floral etching.  The Mansion was established during the rule of Portuguese. It is Portuguese style of architecture.
  • Albuquerque Mansion: It is another most popular tourist attraction of Goa. It was established in 1920, constructed with white stones, which give it splendid look.
