Chopta is a popular hill station which is known as Mini Switzerland of Uttarakhand. It is a beginning point of the trek to Tungnath & Chandrashila. Tourist travelling to Chopta are amused to see the beauty of this place. It is a picturesque hamlet which is still unexplored lying in the lap of the Uttarakhand Himalayas. It is one of the best place for intermediate trekkers to brush up their skills. The history of Chopta is both rich and fascinating.   • Anusuya Devi Temple & Atri Muni Ashram /Atrimuni Fall: It is one of the most famous pilgrimage place in Chopta. It is dedicated to Goddess Sati, who was the wife of Atri Muni (Sapta means seven and rishis mean sages in Sanskrit). It attracts a lot of tourist from all over India.
  • Tungnath Temple, Chopta: It is the highest Shiva temple in the world. Tungnath is believed to be 1000 years old. It is one of the sacred Panch Kedar. This temple was discovered by Adi Shankaracharya.  
  • Chandrashila: It is another popular tourist attraction situated at a breath-taking altitude of 4,000mts above sea level. Literally, it means “Moon Rock”.  It is located 1.5 km further of Tungnath Temple which makes it 5kms from Chopta.
  • Kanchula Korak Musk Deer Sanctuary: It is an ideal place for lover’s tourist situated 7km from Chopta. It is famous for breeding musk deer’s. This sanctuary is spread over an area of 5 square kilometres.
