Debagarh a popular district in the state of Odisha situated on the banks of Betwa River. Debagarh is also known as Deogarh.  It was created as Devagarh district in the year 1994, on 01st January, situated in the western region of the state. It is an ancient town that dates back to 5th century A.D. The region faces the darkest period during British rule. Formerly, Debagarh or Deogarh was the capital of Bamanda or Bamra Kingdom. It was a princely state belongs to Ganga dynasty. Raja Shri Basudeb Sudhal Deb was a well-known ruler whose contribution was more towards Literature, Education and Art. Apart from this tourism has played an immense role in this region though there are not much to explore. Pradhanpat waterfall is one of the most popular and majestic attraction in Debagarh. It is an ideal place for picnic spot. It is a paradise for exploring the history of India and its cultural ethics. Best time to visit this place is throughout the year.
