Devprayag is a religious place for Hinduism located in the state of Uttarakhand located at an elevation of 830meters above sea level.  It is a popular pilgrimage centre for Hindus dotted with many ancient temples.  The name Devprayag means “Godly Confluence” where ‘Dev’ means god and ‘Prayag’ means confluence. This place is marked as one of the sacred places for pilgrims because of the two heavenly rivers named - Alakananda and Bhagirathi. Devprayag is one of the 5 prayags. The town is the seat of the pundits of Badrinath Dham. It holds great religious importance amongst Hindu devotees. Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. Tourist can enjoy the spiritualism with nature. Tourist gets to see the beautiful Ganga flowing below making the way up from Rishikesh.
