‘Tea City of India’, Dibrugarh is one of the major city in Assam. Dibrugarh is located 439 km east of Guwahati, the capital city of Assam sate. It is the largest tea exporting town in India. Dibrugarh is visited by many tourists throughout the year. This amazing city lies on the upper-west region under River Brahmaputra, Sibasagar and Tinsukia. This beautiful city is also known for its spectacular nature in the form of lush green landscape along with wide spread of tea gardens and gorgeous rivers., which makes this place as a nature’s paradise.

  • Dehing Satra, Dibrugarh: It is a historical place which lies on the banks of river Dehing, and its idyllic location has also made it popular tourist destination.
  • Garpara satra, Dibrugarh: It considered as older than Dinjoy Satra which is located in Rohmoria Mouza. Narimaider was the first head priest of the satra.
  • Koli Aai Thaan, Dibrugarh: It is one of the oldest 'thanns' which belonged to the Ahom regime. It is considered to be very holy place and is held in great esteem by the people of Dibrugarh. Every year lots of people visit the 'than' to pray obeisance to Aai and seek her blessings. Koli aai has a profound influence in the religious history of Assam.
  • Namphake Village, Dibrugarh: It situated on the banks of river Burhidihing, it is famous for its scenic beauty, and the old Buddhist monastery. This village is center of tea gardens and commerce. This village has the oldest oil pool in the state.
  • Barbarua Maidam, Dibrugarh: It located few kilometers south from Dibrugarh. There are two Maidams that lie near and together are known as Barbarua Maidam. A visit to the Barbarua Maidam gives an insight to the rich Ahom kingdom that ruled over a large part of the area in the olden days.
  • Dinjoy Satra, Dibrugarh: It is situated about 5 kilometres from the Chabua Township in Dibrugarh. The Dinjoy Satra was founded by Aniruddha Dev, who is considered to be among the twelve main devotees of Gopal Atadev. It is famous for its prayers and strict adherence to the norms and culture of Vaishnavism. A visit to the Satra will definitely invoke the spiritual side of any person.
  • Jokai Botanical Garden cum Germplasm Center, Debrugarh: Is well known for their migratory bird is situated in the Jokai Reserve Forest which is 12km away from Dibrugarh in Assam. Situated on Mancotta Khamtighat Road. The botanical garden is a major tourist attraction throughout the year. Boating facility is also available for the tourists.
  • Lekai Chetia Maidam, Dibrugarh: Is known as a ‘Thaan’ because it is regarded as a religious institution. Now a day the Lekai is counted among the revered spots not only in Dibrugarh but also in the entire state of Assam. It is frequently visited by locals and tourists alike.
  • Moderkhat Satra, Dibrugarh: Is located about 5 kilometers from the township of Chabua in Dibrugarh district. Satras were established not only as religious institutions but also as a place which would educate the masses about the culture of the Ahoms.
  • Raidongia Dol, Dibrugarh: Is situated in Larua Mouza in Kalakhowa region and has several ancient relics of the Ahom kingdom. Though many statues that were initially there on the wall of the Dol have perished, today about 14 remain. It is believed that there were 24 such statues earlier.

  • By Air – Mohanbari Airport connects Dibrugarh to all the major airports in India, like Guwahati, Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. The airport is situated at 13 km from the center of the city and is one of the busiest airports therein.
  • By Railway – Dibrugarh has two railway stations - the historic Dibrugarh Town station(DBRT), which is the first railway station in the entire North - East India and the newly built Dibrugarh station (DBRG). Dibrugarh is well connected to various parts of the country.
  • By Road – There are daily bus services are available from Guwahati, Jorhat, Tezpur Lakhimpur, Digbo Kohima etc. to Dibrugarh. Also, there are taxi services available
