The largest city of Haryana located in the NCR region (National Capital Region) bordering with New Delhi. It is an Industrial town. In 1979, it became the 12th district of the state of Haryana. It believed that that Baba Farid, a Sufi saint and the treasurer of Mughal king Jahangir founded the city in the year 1607. It is one of the most developing city of Haryana, which is the perfect blend of industrialization developing at one corner of the city and agriculture on the other end.

Aravali Golf Course, Faridabad: The course was founded in a year of 1966; it is the first golf course in Faridabad, which is situated 30kms away from Delhi. The course or the ground was designed by Stephen Kay from USA. The play plan has 18 holes. A golf tournament is organized here every year for professional golfers as well as amateurs.

Raja Nahar Singh Palace, Faridabad: It is an 18th century old palace, known for its architecture. It is also known as Ballabgarh Fort Palace and is located 15kms away from South Delhi. Raja Nahar Singh played an important role in the struggle of independence.

Surajkund, Faridabad: It is one of the most popular tourist spot in Faridabad. It is situated about 8 kms from south Delhi, surrounded by rock cut steps. The lake has symbolic significance and is said to signify the rising sun.

Farid Khan’s Tomb, Faridabad: The tomb has 2 huge doors made up of marbles. The east facing door is known as Nuri Darwaza or Gate of Light, and the north facing door is known as Bahishthi Darwaza or Gate of Paradise.

Nahar Singh Cricket Stadium, Faridabad: It was built in the year 1981 in Faridabad and has a capacity of accommodating 25,000 people. A 200-seater modern pavilion with a suite is also there. An outdoor tennis court has also been built.
