Kedarnath is an important Hindu pilgrimage circuit lies on the Himalayan range. It is one of the four Char Dham yatra. It is situated in the high altitude of Garhwal region in the state of Uttarakhand. It is an important Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Being an ancient temple, it offers the joy of an earnest center and the sizzles of an idyllic tourist spot. It is one among the 12 Jyotirlingas in India. It has a great legend that takes back to Mahabharata. It is believed that after the great war of Kurukshetra, the Pandavas travelled Kashi to Uttarakhand in search of Lord Shiva. During the calamities in 2013 thousands of people were killed at Kedarnath. According to some religious priest and scholars, they feel that the temple remains protected as the presiding deity Lord Shiva is securing the temple. The temple was renovated by the government and devotes started their journey to Kedarnath temple. The temple was constructed by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century A.D. There is triangular shaped Linga where devotee worshiped as Kedarnath and it is believed people who pray with a pure heart are forgiven from all the sins. It is a perfect pilgrimage tour as well as religious tour.
