Nawalgarh is one of the important tourist place well known for its fresco and havelis and considered as Golden City of Rajasthan. In 1674 AD, Nawalgarh was founded by Maharaja Nawal Singh (Songara Rajput). It is located at 30 km from Sikar and 39 km from Jhunjhunu. Nawalgarh is also known as ‘The Golden City of Rajasthan’ and fondly known as "the land of Havelis" or "open air art gallery".  There are many forts and havelis in Nawalgarh that has become important sites for Bollywood/Hollywood/Tollywood movies. There are plenty of option to move around in Nawalgarh. 

Main Attractions
  • Sheesh Mahal, Nawalgarh: This architectural marvel reflects the immense talent of Rajput craftsmen in the art of making intricate frescoes. It is an astounding building with a ceiling mural that includes maps of Nawalgarh and Jaipur.
  • Morarka Haveli, Nawalgarh: This is one of the two most visited attractions in this deserted town of Nawalgarh- the other one certainly being the Poddar Haveli. This is a relatively older haveli with some of the most amazingly drawn paintings and intricate murals.
  • The Poddar Haveli, Nawalgarh: It was built just about 90 years ago, in the 1920s under the Nawalgarhs. Now it has been restored and turned into a museum. There are paintings of Gods and Goddesses.
  • Roop Niwas Palace, Nawalgarh: The palace has now been converted into a luxurious heritage hotel. It is an amalgamation of both European and Rajput styles of architecture which was built by Thakur Roop Singh Ji and Rawal Madan Singh Ji. It attracts a lot of tourist from all over India.
