Parwanoo is a small municipal council located in the Solan district of Himanchal Pradesh. The town is spread across Shiwalik range and is divided into six sectors. Parwanoo is an industrial town known for fruit processing unit of Horticulture Produce Marketing and Processing Corporation Ltd (HPMC) and cattle feed and pesticide unit of HP Agro Industries. The town is also known for what is known as Timber Trail and Cable cars. Some other area of interest in around the city are Gurkha Fort and Fruit orchards. Kalka Heritage rail passes through this town. The temperature of this small town can be considered as moderate as the temperature varies from hot summers to cool winters. 

Main Attractions
  • Timber Trail: It is one of the major attraction of Parwanoo. The trail is spread over two hills of the Shivalik Range and is connected by a cable car, which offers the picturesque views of the Kaushalya Valley. The trail is located at the height of 5,000 ft above sea level.
  • Shri Balaji Temple: Shri Balaji temple is one of the ancient Hindu temple of Parwanoo. The shrine was buried in earth until 1988. The temple is situated at Bhairo ki Ser Village, one can be reached here via Kalka City.
  • Kali Mata Temple: Kali Mata Temple is an important Hindu temple of this region, which is located at just 2kms away from Parwanoo. A lot of devotees visited the shrine during the Navratri festival.
  • Fruit Orchards:  It is one of the major attraction of Parwanoo. The town is the home of various industries which are dedicated to processing jams, fruit pulps, jellies etc.  It is the popular picnic destination for this region, which offers the beautiful scenery and amazing weather.
  • Kalka: Located at just 4kms away from Parwanoo, Kalka is a small and beautiful city in Panchkula District. The town is situated on the foothill of Himalaya, which named after Goddess Kali. One of the major attractions of this town is the Kali Mata Temple, dedicated to the Hindu Goddess Kali.  The town is also known for Kalka - Shimla Railway.
