Udaipur is a famous city located in the state of Tripura. It is the third largest town after Agartala and Dharmanagar of Tripura state. During the reign of Maharaja Krishna Manikya, Udaipur lost its glory of being the capital of Tripura. Tourist can witness the historical sites and ruins of old palaces of that period. Udaipur has a great history spanning 1170 years, as the capital of Tripura. Memorials of that era are faded away but few are still alive. Udaipur has many ruined buildings, palaces, temples, lakes, scattered all around the city. It is a land of fourteen gods and million statues.   • Bhubaneshwari Temple, Udaipur: Bhubaneshwari Temple is a Hindu temple visited by many people in and around Tripura state. This temple is open to thousands of devotees throughout the year. It is an ideal place located on the bank of river Gomti.  In the 17th century, this temple was constructed by Maharaja Govinda Manikya. The description of this temple can be found in the plays of most popular poet and writer Rabindra Nath Tagore.
