Varkala is a fascinating and alluring tourist destination place that is located 50km away from north-west of Thiruvananthapuram. It is situated at the South Indian state of Kerala. There are several stories and legends related to the birth of this place. Many historical documents say that it was well-known to ancient foreign traders. Varkala was best described as navigation and trading centers according to an ancient Greek manuscript. Varkala is both temple and coastal town. It is the home of the popular Papanasam Beach where fascinating stretch of cliffs are found adjacent to the Arabian Sea in southern Kerala.
