Munsiyari is a splendid Hill Station in the state of Uttarakhand situated on the banks of Goriganga River.  It is also known as “The Little Kashmir”. The name Munsiari refers to a ‘Place with Snow’. It is a picturesque hamlet amid the snow-clad Himalayan peaks. It is the place where many Himalayan treks have their origin. Some of the popular treks are Namik Trek, Milam Trek and the Ralam Glacier Trek. It offers splendid vistas of natural beauteousness. There are several tourist attraction places in Munsiari where one can also explore the hidden treasure of Munsiari. Tourist seeking for peace can find this destination as one of the perfect place for leisure tourism. In present, it has become a happening and an ideal place. From the height, one can see the beauty of the magnificent and prominent snowcapped peak named Panchchuli peak. Main Attractions
  • Betulidhar, Munsiyari: Covered with red Rhododendrons in full bloom it is one of the best destination for skiing. It is the major tourist destination in Munsiari located 07 km from Munsiari. It provides amazing views of snow clad mountains all around.
  • Panchchuli Peaks, Munsiyari: Panchchuli peaks are a group of five peaks. Another theory is that this region was once part of the old Nepal Kingdom. It is a prominent peak which is visible from all the main points of Pithoragarh district.
  • Madkot, Munsiyari: It is another popular tourist destination blessed with scenic splendour. It is situated at 22kms from Munsiari dotted with multiple natural thermal springs. It is widely known for housing thermal springs that have healing powers that cures many diseases.  
  • Thamari Kund, Munsiari: It is a beautiful lake and a tranquil place. It is between kalamuni top and Munsiari. It attracts a lot of tourist visiting Munsiari.
  • Nanda Devi temple, Munsiyari: Nanda Devi Temple has a very pleasant sound of its own. It is one of the most reversed pilgrimage sites of Uttarakhand. One must trek 3km to reach this temple. This temple is dedicated to Goddess Sati.
  • Tribal Heritage Museum, Munsiyari: It is another tourist attraction destination that showcase the cultural of this region.  It was established in 2000.  Popularly, it is also named as ‘Masterji Museum’. exhibits interesting antiques, documents testifying the trade between Tibet and Johar Valley etc.
  • Maheshwari Kund, Munsiyari: It is a beautiful small lake. It is also known as Messar or Meshar Kund. It has a fascinating legend attached to it. Tourist are attracted by the scenic beauty of the lake. From here it offers one with breath taking views of the Panchchulli Peaks.
  • Birthi falls, Munsiyari: Birtha Falls is a picturesque waterfall which is 126 meters high located at about 35kms from Munsiari. The enchanting view of these cascading waters during verdant greenery is indeed a spirit elevating sight.
