Bikaner is amidst the desert land of the state Rajasthan known for producing the best riding camels in the world. Junagarh Fort, Bikaner: Junagarh Fort is also known as Bikaner Fort. It is one of the old forts in the city of Bikaner located in the Thar Desert region of the state Rajasthan. It is bordered on the North West by the Aravalli range. This fort was built Raja Rai Singh between the years of 1589 -1594 AD. Most interesting places to visit here are the Chandra Mahal, with paintings, mirrors and carved marble panels, the Phool Mahal, the Karan Mahal, the Anoop Mahal, and others. Most of the tourists are attracted by the architecture and paintings.
