Mount Abu is the mighty hill station in the desert state of Rajasthan that lies in the Aravalli mountain range.  It is considered as an oasis in the dusty landscape located near the Sirohi District of Mount Abu as it is home to some rivers, lakes, waterfalls, etc. According to myths, this hill is also known as ‘Arbudaranya’, got its name from a serpent god, Arbuda. It is said to be original abode of the famous Gurjars. There are number of legends behind this hilly terrain of Mount Abu.It is the highest peak in the Aravalli Range of Rajasthan state where one can experience pleasant weather throughout the year. It is the best retreat destination for the people down the plains. One can witness the mesmerizing scenic sunrise and sunset from the top of the peak that attracts a lot of tourist from all over India. Apart from the majestic ambiance of this place, it also offers some popular and famous magnificent temples and ancient building dating back 11th -13th centuries. It is one of the most famous Jain pilgrimage tour because of the Dilwara Temple in Mount Abu constructed between 11th and 13th century AD.
