Chikhaldara is also called as Chikaldara. This is the place where Bheema killed villainous Keechaka, featured in the epic of the Mahabharata. From this, the place got the name after Keechakadara. Chikaldara was discovered by Captain Robinson of the Hyderabad Regiment in 1823. This tourist destination is mostly preferred by travellers from Nagpur, Mumbai.
