Earlier Ranga Reddy district was known as Shamshabad. The name of this city has been given after the notable personality of former Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh K.V. Ranga Reddy. On 15th August 1978, this district was formed, situated in the Central Part of the Deccan Plateau. According to history, this region was under the rule of Nizams of Hyderabad until 1948. Ranga Reddy is a place where tourist would love to visit. It is truly enchanting that consists of religious places, lush greenery of the hills, peaceful lake view for relaxation, and so on.
