Rajim is a small town in Gariaband district of Chhattisgarh. The town is situated at about 45 km from Raipur, the capital city of Chhattisgarh. It is one of the holiest place in Chattisgarh which is located on the eastern banks of River Mahanadi. The city is renowned as the ‘Prayag’ of Chhattisgarh as it lies on the holy confluence of three rivers Mahanadi, Pairi and Sondur, which is called Triveni Sangam of this region. Rajim is famous for its rich cultural heritage and is the home of various beautiful ancient temples and historical monuments. Some of the major temples of this region are such as Rajiv Lochan, Mama Banja, Kuleswer mahadev, Rajim Bhaktin mata Karma etc. Apart from these temples, Kuleswar mahadev is situated at the mid of three river stream Pairy, Sondhur and Mahanadi. Rijim is also well-known for Rajim Kumbh, which is one of the most significant Hindu pilgrimage which held held every year at here. 

Main Attractions
  • Rajiv Lochan Temple, Rajim: The temple is one among famous shrines housed in the town of Rajim. This extensively carved temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and it is a delight to the eyes of the visitors. People from all around the world visit this shrine. The Temple has twelve solid towers that support the main structure.
  • Champaran, Rajim: The town was earliest known as Champajhar, is known as is located at about 15 kms from Rajim. Champaran is a popular Vaishnava Peeth, as it is the birthplace of Saint Vallabhacharya who was the founder of the Vaishnava Sect.
  • Kuleshvara Mahadev Mandir, Rajim: There is an island which is formed by the Pairi and Mahanadi Rivers. On this island, there is a famous Shiva Temple, known as the Kuleshvara Mahadeva Mandir. This shrine is built on an octagonal shaped platform which is about 17 feet in height.
  • Ramachandra Temple, Rajim: The temple is dedicated to Lord Rama, and was built around 400years ago, by Govind Lal, who was known to be a banker and a merchant from Raipur. It is said that the material used to build this temple belongs to ruins of the temple from Sirpur.

  • By Road – Rajim is well connected by road. Regular bus services are available from Raipur
