It is one of the major religious place of West Bengal which is visited by large number of tourist throughout the year. It is situated around 130km from Kolkata on the banks of river Ganga. Mayapur has the headquarter of the ISKCON temple. But the main significance of this place is because of the birthplace of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu born in 1486 AD, who is believed to be the incarnation of Lord Krishna.

ISKCON Chandrodaya Temple: It is situated around 6km from the city centre, it was built by Lord Mahaprabhu dedicated to Lord Krishna.

Chand Kazi’s Samadhi: It is situated around 7km from the city centre. He was the magistrate of Nabadwip who opposed the Harinam Sankirtan but later became one of the best disciples of Lord Mahaprabhu. This samadhi is the symbol of his transformation.

Shri Chaitanya Math: Situated at 8km from the city centre the math is dedicated to Shri Radha Govinda and was built by Shri Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Maharaja.

Yoga Peeth: Situated at 6km from the city centre it is a famous tourist place from all over the world as it is the birth place of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. It is one of the best places to learn Yoga, Vedas and Meditation.

Sri Devananda Gauriya Math: Situated at 11kms from the city centre. It is built mon an island in Nabadwip by Shri Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Maharaja. It is believed to be the abode of Lord Gaura and Gadadhara.
