Paradip is an important place situated near the Bay of Bengal in Jagatsinghpur district of Odisha. Paradip is also known as Paradeep which is renowned and world famous land being one of the twelve major seaports of India. This land was once a mangrove wetland used for fishing and the collection of wood by the local people of this reason. This destination is also well known for leading maritime gateways on the East Coast of India and is commenced as a mono-commodity port on 18th April 1966. The Trade Unions have played a very responsible role in the growth of the Port. Paradip is also famous for Paradip Refinery which is India’s 11th Oil Refinery. It is also the most-modern refinery of India. After realizing the potential of Paradip, steel plants, alumina refineries, this place is growing popular as business tourism. Apart from views on industrial strategy, this emerging place also offer tourist attractions for tourist. Some of the major captivating sightseeing places are - Paradip Port, Baladeva Temple, Jhankad Temple, Bhitarkanika National Park etc. It is an ideal trip where visitors can relax by the golden water of the Paradip beach. A large of tourists are attracted by the marine drive every year. 

Main Attractions
  • The Paradip Port, Paradip: Paradip port is one of the most popular port in the East Indian state of Odisha. It is one of the largest and major seaport of India. This port was founded by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in the year 1962. It also happens to be the chief sea-borne trade centre in the Bay of Bengal. It is a place admired by nature, and quite appreciating away from the chaotic city life.  
  • Jhankad Temple, Paradip: It is a beautiful temple situated in Paradip. This temple is dedicated to Lord Sarala, which is believing to be an incarnation of Goddess Saraswati. Annual car festival and Raja Sankranti are organized and celebrated here.
  • Baladev Jew Temple, Paradip: It is an important religious and pilgrimage place for Hindus where thousands of devotees visited here every year. It is devoted to Lord Baladeva and holds high religious values for the Hindus. It is also considered as a famous temple in the state of Odisha. During the Maratha rule in Orissa (1761 AD), the present shrine was constructed in this temple.
