Paradip is an important place situated near the Bay of Bengal in Jagatsinghpur district of Odisha. Paradip is also known as Paradeep which is renowned and world famous land being one of the twelve major seaports of India. This land was once a mangrove wetland used for fishing and the collection of wood by the local people of this reason. This destination is also well known for leading maritime gateways on the East Coast of India and is commenced as a mono-commodity port on 18th April 1966.
