Namchi is a great tourist destination place in the state of Sikkim. Namchi is also called as Namtse. It is a small town blessed with natural beauty where some best secrets of Himalaya are kept. The name Namchi mean ‘Sky High’ taken from two words where nam means Sky and chi means high, as it is located at an elevation of 5,500 ft. The mesmerizing beauty of this place can’t be described by a single word. This tourist destination of Sikkim welcomes you with open arms that offers you to witness numerous monasteries, traditional temples, lush greenery, flora, and forests. It is also known as Cultural Capital of Sikkim. One of the most interesting facts about Namchi is it has bagged the Most Innovative and Unique Tourism Project Award in construction of world class Pilgrimage cum Cultural Tourism Complex (Siddeswara Dham) situated atop Solophok hilltop. For this reason, Namchi is also known as Char Dham. The Maenam Hill, Tendong Hill and Borong are known for their scenic mountains capes. Namchi is the land of celebrations and carnival.   • Samdruptse Monastery, Namchi: Samdruptse Monastery is one of the ancient monastery in Namchi. This monastery consists of some best paintings, and artwork of local artisans. It is an important Buddhist pilgrimage centres. The term ‘Samdruptse’ means the ‘Wish Fulfilling’.  Hill’. It is also home to Monks and Lamas. The architecture is a blend of Sikkimese, Tibetan and modern-day architectural styles. It is the highest statue of Guru Padmasambhava in the world.
  • Ralang Monastery, Namchi: Ralang Monastery is a fascinating and old monastery located at about 8 km from Ravangla Town. It portrays the true spiritual side of Sikkimese people. It is regarded as the most significant monasteries of Sikkim. There is also a new monastery that was built in 1995 named as “Palchen Choeling Monastic Institute”. Tourist visiting to Namchi must visit this monastery.
  • The Siddhesvara Dham, Namchi: It is a unique pilgrimage place which has a 108ft. tall statue of Shiva, replicas of 12 Jyotirlingas and models of sacred Chardham. It has created history by bringing the four Dhams under one roof at Solophok. The Chardham or four revered Dhams of the Hindus are - Jagannath, Dwarika, Rameshawaram, Badrinath. There is also an 18-feet statue of Kirateshwar a hunter incarnation of Shiva. It is one of the amazing and most attractive tourist destination in Namchi.
