Kasol is a small village located in Kullu district of Himanchal Pradesh. The village lies in Parvati Valley between the stretch of Manikaran and Bhuntar at an elevation of about 1600 meters. Kasol is a very popular among foreigners and is known laid back, happy and tranquil atmosphere. Kasol and surrounding regions are well connected with Kullu by road. So, buses, private taxies and personal cars are common mode of transport. Best time to visit is from October – June. Monsson isn’t recommended due to heavy rains. Kasol is also known as trekking base for Sar Pass, Yanker Pass, Pin Parbati Pass and Khirganga. There are some small villages near Kasol which are also very popular some of them being Tosh and Chalal. 

Main Attractions
  • Parvati River: It is one of the most popular attraction of Kasol. The river is surrounded by Spectacular Mountains and lush green forest of deodar and pine, it is the best place for relaxing. You can also enjoy the river rafting as well.
  • Manikaran Sahib: Located at the distance of about 6kms from Kasol, Manikaran Sahib is one of the holiest place of this region and more than hundreds of Hindu and Sikh devotees visit this place throughout the year. It is located on the banks of Beas and Parvati.
  • Tosh Village: Located at a height of 7,874ft, Tosh village is one of the most beautiful village of Kasol. It offers the breathtaking view of splendid mountains, valleys and landscapes filled with snow. Tosh valley trek is one of the major attraction of the town.
  • Chhalal Village: Chalal is a quaint village of Kasol, located just 30 minutes’ walk across a beautiful bridge made over the amazing Parvati River from Kasol.  It gives the amazing trekking experience through the lush green forest of pine trees.

Kasol is a small hill station, hence there is no Malls and multiplex are available here. Entertainments in this town is mainly depends local cinema halls which is located around the town.

  • By Train- The nearest major railway Station is Kalka, which is located at the distance of about 263kms from Kasol. The Kalka railway station is well connected with all major cities of India.  Another small railway station is Shimla, which is located at 231kms from Kasol. Shimla is connected through toy train from Kalka.
  • By Road- Kasol is well connected with all major cities of India by road.
