This trip will take you down the path of transformation of Sri Lanka for the country that stands today. From iconic historical sites to breathtakingly beautiful tea gardens and the unending sea beaches, this journey will keep you spell bound. Discover with us the treasures of fascinating local culture, ancient cave temples, stunning sunsets, the famous Sigiriya rock fortress, spice gardens, tea plantations, epic waterfalls, travel the world’s most scenic train journey, spot wild elephants hidden in the different cities like Siligiriya, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle, Yala, Bentota and Colombo. The duration of this trip is 9 nights and 10 days.
Arrive at Colombo International Airport, and transfer to Sigiriya. Check in at your pre booked hotel. Later we will visit the Sigiriya fortress and witness a gallery of 5th-century paintings coupled with some landscaped gardens.

Post breakfast we will drive to the ancient city Polonnaruwa. We will visit the museum and Polonnaruwa Vatadage.

Today we will drive to Kandy via Dambulla. At Dambulla, we will be visiting the famous cave temples. These are sacred sites and we recommend you to wear clothes that cover your shoulders and knees. On arrival in Kandy, check in and relax.

After Breakfast at the hotel proceed to visit the Tooth Relic temple and later an excursion to Pinnawala Elephant orphanage.

After Breakfast at the hotel, proceed to one of the most beautiful garden cities of Asia- Nuwara Eliya. It is located at the foot of Mount Pidurutalagala and is blessed with lots of hills, waterfalls, and valleys. Stroll through the tea gardens post check in.

This morning after breakfast we will drive to Yala National Park. Post check in we will hop on jeeps for the exploration of the jungle.

We will drive to Galle via Weligama this morning, post breakfast. Spend some time on the way at Weligama beach and see the trick of ‘Stilt fishing’. Galle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the Galle Fort on foot.

After breakfast we will leave for Bentota. Post arrival and check in, we will visit the turtle farm and boat in Madu river.

This day is completely at leisure. You may choose to just soak in the sun on the beach, try out some water sports and volunteer for a day at turtle farm.

Today we will leave for Colombo airport, post breakfast. On the way to the airport, we will stop by to visit the Pettah market and Independence Memorial Hall. Trip ends with a drop off at the airport.
