Get introduced to ‘Washoku’- a collective name of Japanese cuisine on our tour ‘Food Break in Japan’. Grand a bit of one or more of the several traditional delicacies, visit iconic places and be amazed at the sight of Mount Fuji. This tour has been tastefully designed to give the experience of authentic Japanese cuisine while meeting a local family to learn about the traditions as well. The duration of this trip is 3 nights and 4 days.
Arrive at Tokyo Haneda International Airport, and transfer to your pre booked hotel. On arrival check-in to the hotel & relax. You can choose to explore the city on your own.
Overnight stay in Tokyo.
This morning after having breakfast we will head off for a day excursion to Mount Fuji, an active volcano and Japan’s tallest peak, located about 100 km away from Tokyo. Ride up the Hakone Ropeway to witness mesmerising views of the area. Later visit Owakudani, a volcanic valley, famous for its hot springs and sulfur vents. Enjoy a cruise on Lake Ashi and visit the local market to try some of the local delicacies. Savor the traditional Kuro Tamago (black boiled egg), Kashipan (sweet bread), Sushi, Wagashi, one or more forms of dumplings and noodles.
Return back to the hotel for an overnight stay in Tokyo.
After breakfast we will visit Tokyo Tower, a structure inspired by Eiffel Tower in Paris. We will visit Meiji Shrine- a shrine dedicated to Emperor Meiji and his wife, Tokyo Imperial Palace and Sensoji. Later meet a local family for a cooking demo. Interact with the family members and learn about the traditions along with the secrets of cuisine. Relish the lunch and also explore the Nakamise Shopping Street, you can choose to buy one of the several local handicrafts or souvenirs.
