Pattadakal Monuments was built during the Chalukyan Dynast is located at the distance of 22 kilometers from the city of Badami. Tourists from all over the country come to this place to visit the impressive monuments which clearly reflect the art, architecture, administration, literature and other areas of development of the period and was declared world heritage site in 1987. The monuments are both rock cut and structural. Experiments were also done with the architectural style of the monuments. The Pattadakal Monuments were built maintaining the architectural style of both northern and southern India.
