Shirdi, popularly known as Shirdi Nagar Panchayat is a popular town located in Ahmednagar District of Maharashtra. It is one of the most prominent pilgrimage place for most of the devotees. The town got its name from a saint named Sai Baba, who brought together people from all faiths during 19th century. Sai Baba or Shirdi Sai Baba was an Indian spiritual master known by people around the world. He was revered by both his Hindu and Muslim devotees. He sermonized the importance of realization of the self, and criticized love for perishable things. One of his most well-known epigrams is – Sabka Mallik Ek ("One God governs all"). It is believed that in 1918, Sai Baba came to this place at the age of 16 and resided there till his death. To attain his godliness, the Sai Baba Samadhi Mandir was built in 1922 after four year of his death. As time passed, it was carried under Shrimant Gopalrao, who was a Nagpur millionaire and a devotee of Sai Baba. This pilgrimage towns welcomes around 60,000 devotees every day. It is also known as the abode of Sai Baba. Sai Mandir which is the main attraction of Shirdi tourism that attracts millions of tourists throughout the year.

  • Sai Baba Samadhi Mandir: Sai Baba or Shirdi Sai Baba was an Indian spiritual master known by people around the world. To attain his godliness, the Sai Baba Samadhi Mandir was built in 1922 after four year of his death. As time passed, it was carried under Shrimant Gopalrao, who was a Nagpur millionaire and a devotee of Sai Baba. It is also known as the abode of Sai Baba. Sai Mandir which is the main attraction of Shirdi tourism that attracts millions of tourists throughout the year.
  • Shani Shingnapur, Shirdi: It is located in Ahmednagar District of Maharashtra. Shani Shingnapur is dedicated to god Saturn. The spectacle of the deity in black stone is overwhelming. There are no doors and frames or locks on them for safety. People believed that it is the benediction of the god that no crime ever occurs in this village.
  • Sai Baba Chavadi, Shirdi: It is a sacred temple where the holy saint Sai Baba resided over here during his last year. Before this, the place ‘Chavadi was a ‘village office’ where taxes were collected and records were kept.  There is a large portrait of Sai Baba painted by Amabaram from Gujarat is placed inside the Chavadi Temple. On every Thursday, the deity is taken out on processions during festivals.
