Located at an elevation of 2050 meters Manali is one of the most famous tourist destinations in India popular among both Indian and Foreign Tourists. This small town nested within a Valley located in Himanchal Pradesh. The town lies in on the path of the ancient Silk Route and opens its door at the foothills of Ladakh. The region is very well connected via road and is often preferred route for travelling to Ladakh than the Kargil route. The climate of Manali is predominantly cold during winters, and moderately cool during summers and its temperature ranges from 4 °C (39 °F) to 26 °C (79 °F) over the year. The roads during winter are filled in snow and hence the preferred time to visit is during summers.

Main Attractions
  • Hadimba Temple: Hadimba Temple is an ancient cave temple dedicated to Hidimbi Devi. It was established in 1553 and over a huge rock jutting out of the ground which was worshipped as an image of the deity. The temple is surrounded by lush green forest of cedar tree. It is another most popular attraction of Manali.
  • Vashist Hot Water Springs: Located at a distance of 6kms from Manali on the banks of Beas River it is the major attraction of Shimla.  It is renowned for natural hot water springs. The village also has ancient stone temples.
  • Bijli Mahadev Temple: Located at an altitude of 2,460 meters above sea level on the Beas River. The temple is dedicated to Hindu God Shiva.
  • Beas River: The River is popular for its adventure sports. Due to its ferocious flow Beas River in Manali is used for river rafting.
