The duration of this tour is 11 days. The best time to do this tour is Mid May to Mid October. The journey begins at Leh where we drive through Sham. This tour gives you an opportunity to experience the beauty of the Himalayas with astonishing Nature in Nubra, Kargil, Hanle, Tsomoriri and Pangong. One can see the vivid culture of North India and is a full fun and adventure package. This tour is being crafted in such a way that a traveler should experience the legacy of cultural richness and the scenic beauty of the Himalayas in India so that his travelling to India should not only be a journey for him but an experience in itself.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Leh to Sham Valley (70 kms / 4-5 Hrs approx.)

Arrival at Leh airport and transferred to the Sham Valley pass through villages of Sham Valley along the Indus River. Complete day to acclimatize your body to the difference in altitude.

Overnight stay at Sham.

Day 2 Sham Valley to Kargil via Batalik (192 Kms / 5-6 hrs approx)

After breakfast, drive to Kargil, en route, visit Dha-Hanu. The people who inhabit this area are considered as last of the Indo Aryan race, not only their attire is highly decorated with jewelry and flowers, their features are also quite distinct. We also visit Batalik, one of the most famous war front zones fought by the Indian soldiers in 1999 with Pakistan. Arrive Kargil by evening, enjoy the evening at leisure.

Overnight stay at Kargil.

Day 3 Kargil to Leh via Lamayuru (220 Kms / 6-7 Kms approx.)

After the Breakfast drive to Leh, enroute, visit Mulbek Chamba, Lamayuru monastery, Alchi monastery, Sangam (confluence of Zanskar & Indus river), Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, and Hall of Fame museum. Enjoy hot lunch at Lamayuru. Arrive at Leh by evening.

Ovenight stay at Leh.

Day 4 Leh – Nubra Valley (128 Kms / 4-5 hrs approx)

After Breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla (Highest Motorable road in the world, 18,380 ft). You can take short breaks at roadside cafes and scenic points for photography. On arrival check in to the hotel/camp. Post lunch enjoy a camel safari (double humped camel which are found only in Ladakh & Mongolia) at the Sand Dunes between Deskit & Hundur Village.

Overnight stay at Nubra Valley.

Day 5 Hunder – Tyakshi – Hunder (170 Kms / 5-6 hrs approx.)

After breakfast drive to Turtuk (first time opened for the tourist since 2010) this village was captured by Indians Army in war of 1971 from Pakistan, enroute visit Tyakshi (it is the border that divides India and Pakistan)

Overnight stay at Nubra Valley.

Day 6 Nubra – Pangong Lake via Shyok river road (150 Kms / 6-7 Hrs approx)

After Breakfast leave for Pangong Lake 14,500 ft, drive of 6 – 7 Hrs. Arrival at Camp, Later free time at Leisure and enjoy the color changing lake and the sun set on the banks of lake.

Overnight stay at Pangong Lake.

Day 7 Pangong Lake to Hanle (175 Kms / 6-7 hrs approx)

In the morning after breakfast drive to Hanle, on the way cross Chushul Village and Tsaga La (15,200 Ft), Hanle, is home to the Indian Astronomical Observatory. The location of the village and the observatory are highly sensitive due to the proximity of the Tibetan / Chinese border, India set up the Himalayan Chandra Telescope, a 2m gamma ray telescope, here. Once complete, the Major Atmospheric Cerenkov Experiment Telescope gamma ray telescope under construction here, will be the world's largest telescope at the highest altitude and the second largest gamma ray telescope in the world. As per history, it is believed that King Singge Namgyal died here at Hanle while on his return from an expedition on Mongols. Enjoy the stay with locals at local guest house/homestay.

Overnight stay at Hanle.

Day 8 Hanle – Tsomoriri via Mahe Bridge (130 Kms / 4 - 5 hrs approx.)

In the morning after breakfast drive to Tsomoriri Lake via Nurpa Pass (16,100 Ft) continue drive to Tsomoriri Lake, en route cross Loma bend and Mahe Bridge. Arrive Korzok village by late noon. Evening is at disposal to walk around the Lake and enjoy the scenic beauty.

Overnight stay at Korzok. 

Day 9 Tsomoriri – Tsokar – Taglangla – Leh (240 Kms / 7- 8 hrs approx)

Morning after breakfast leave to Leh by a different route via Puga (Sulphur Mine) and Polakongka pass 15892 ft, Tsokar Lake and Taklang La Pass 17,585ft, 2nd Highest motorable road in the world. Arrival at Leh by late evening.

Overnight stay at Leh.

Day 10 Leh

After breakfast visit the Leh Palace ,Shanti Stupa and Leh Market. Later afternoon free for shopping.

Overnight in Hotel.

Day 11 Leh Airport Drop (4 Kms / 15 minutes approx)

Early morning transfer to Leh airport to board flight back to destination. Journey Ends.
