Maha Kumbh Mela is one of the most colorful and spiritual festival celebrated at four places in India viz. Allahabad, Haridwar, Ujjain and Nasik. This year it was held in Allahabad near the banks of Triveni Sangam river where the three holy rivers meets together namely – Ganga, Saraswati and Yamuna. It was held from January 27th to February 25th at Allahabad in 2013. Allahabad is famous for heritage and cultural tourism. Many Shadus and Babas come here from isolated places like caves and dense forest. It is believed that if you take a dip in the holy river then you will get rid of all sins. Many foreigners want to visit this event and you will find them wearing Indian ritual dresses and like others they also take a dip in the Triveni Sangam.
