Arrive at Amritsar Airport/Joining point, and transfer to your pre booked hotel. After arrival, check in and relax. In the evening, head out to witness the very famous ‘Change of Guards Ceremony’ at the Wagah Border. Feel the patriotism in the air and pumped up youths and soldiers. After the ceremony return back to Amritsar and rest of the time is at leisure.

Wake up early morning to visit the utterly beautiful and blissful Sikh Temple- ‘The Golden Temple’ for morning prayer ceremony. Learn about Sikhism and their culture while walking through the premises. Return back to the hotel to freshen up and have breakfast. Thereafter, visit ‘Jallianwala Bagh’- where mass massacre happened on the order of Acting Brigadier-General Reginald Dyer on the festival of ‘Baisakhi’. Walk through the colorful streets to explore more and visit the Partition Museum and past by Khairuddin Mosque. Head back to the Golden Temple during lunch time. You may choose to help and serve in the community kitchen which provides free of cost meals to anyone who wants to come and eat. Also, break a bread during ‘langar’ as the lunch of the community kitchen is called. Rest of the day is at leisure. You may choose to buy some colorful scarves adorned with hand embroidery called ‘Phulkari’, or handmade shoes known as ‘Jutis’, and many more things.

After breakfast, we will drive to a pristine and lesser known place- Harike Wetlands, a Ramsar Site is a wetland site designated of international importance under the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in 1990, and a section of the wetland was declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1999. Result of beautiful Harike Lake, the wetlands are home to several species of ducks and other birds apart from rare species of turtles, fishes and the magnificent river-water dolphin. One can take a water bus tour to spot one or more of these along with a wide variety of flora.
Spend the day admiring the glory of nature and later, proceed to Kapurthala for an overnight stay.
Today after breakfast, visit the fascinating Moorish Mosque, State Gurudwara, Jagatjit Palace and the Panch Temple. Later, head off to Kanjli Wetlands. Rich in biodiversity, Kanjli lake was created by constructing the headworks across the perennial Bien River. These wetlands have also been declared a Ramsar Site in 2002.

This morning after breakfast, we will drive back to Amritsar. Enroute, visit the Gurudwaras at Khadur Sahib and Tarn Taran Sahib. After check in, relax or explore on your own.
