Overview

Exclusive Kolkata, Gangasagar with Sundarbans Tour Package gives you an opportunity to experience the beauty of the Sundarbans Delta with astonishing Nature. It is Tiger Reserve, Biosphere Reserve and a National Park in West Bengal. Sundarbans is located on Ganges Delta, and adjacent to the Sundarbans Reserve Forest in Bangladesh. It is one of the largest reserves and home of the Bengal tiger which is covered by dense mangrove forests. Apart from this it is also the home to reptile, invertebrate species such as salt-water crocodile and the verities of birds. In 1973 it was declared as Sundarbans Tiger Reserve and it was declared a National Park in 1984. You will also explore Shantiniketan, which is located at the distance of about 212 kilometers from Kolkata. It is a small town in the Birbhum district. It is renowned due to Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore, whose vision became what is now a University town that is Visva-Bharati University. Apart from this you will also get the chance to explore the major attractions of Kolkata as well and Ganga Sagar, the place where Ganga meets Bay of Bengal. One can see the vivid culture of East India and is a full fun and adventure package. Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival Kolkata Airport

After arrival at Kolkata Airport, you will be transferred to the hotel, check-in to the hotel.

Overnight stay in Kolkata.

Day 2 Kolkata Local Sightseeing

Early in the morning after breakfast proceed for a city tour of Kolkata covering High Court Building, Oldest Catholic Church in Calcutta, Howrah Bridge, Vidyasagar Setu, National Museum, Victoria Memorial, Kali Mandir etc., after visit return to the hotel.

Overnight stay in Kolkata.

Day 3 Kolkata – Gangasagar – Kolkata (110 kms / 4 hrs)

Early morning after breakfast drive to Gangasagar on arrival visit the Kapil Muni Temple. Visit the nearby Bharat Sevashram Sangha, which is a charitable organization that provides various services to the pilgrims. Enjoy some local delicacies and snacks such as puffed rice and jaggery at the local food stalls. Take the ferry back to Kakdwip and drive back to Kolkata. If you have more time, you can also visit nearby attractions such as Diamond Harbour and Bakkhali Beach.

Day 4 Kolkata – Sundarbans (100 kms approx)

Today early morning after breakfast drive for Sundarbans nationwide Park, the world largest mangrove plantation. Arrive at Sonakhali, Basanti round 9.30 am. move to Boat Cruise. Sightseeing at Mangrove conference Centre, Sajnekhali, production by Project Tiger area agency, visit to Watchtower and spotting of pug-marks etc. Check in to the holiday resort and freshen up. Evening visit to Pakhiralaya and back to hotel. In the evening there is placement of exclusive heritage events for the assembly (Optional).

Evening meal and overnight stay at Sundarbans.

Day 5 Sundarbans – Shantiniketan (278 kms Approx)

After early breakfast check out from inn & move to Shantiniketan. Shantiniketan was founded in 1901 by Noble Laureate Shri Rabindra Nath Tagore who visualized a flawless harmony of humanity with nature. On arrival check in at the hotel & rest of the day leisure.

Overnight stay in Shantiniketan.

Day 6 Shantiniketan Sightseeing – Kolkata (161 kms Approx)

Today morning after breakfast visit Kopai River & Khoai River, Amar Kutir (Handicraft Center), Visva Bharati University Campus, the complex at "Uttarayan", Art Gallery & Museum. Later drive to Kolkata. Arrive & Check in at hotel & rest of the day at leisure.

Overnight stay in Kolkata.

Day 7 Kolkata – Airport/train station drop

Today morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and drop to your onward journey Airport/train station.
