On your arrival at Bangalore Airport, our representative will traditionally welcome (Swagat) you and assist you in check-in to your pre booked hotel. Day 2 Bangalore Sightseeing
After breakfast, you will be escorted by our Tour Guide and will be taken for local sightseeing of Bangalore. Today`s tour highlights will be Tipu sultan`s summer Palace, Bangalore Palace, Dodda Ganeshana Gudi, ISKCON Temple, Lalbagh Botanical Garden and Cubbon Park. In the afternoon, treat yourself with a regional cuisine in your lunch at a nice restaurant. At the end of the tour, return to your Hotel and relax. Day 3 Bangalore - Splendor Jewels of South (Golden Chariot)
After breakfast, day is for leisure. You may choose to explore the surrounding places. After Lunch, you will be escorted by our Tour Guide and will be assisted in your transfers to Taj West End (A Group of Taj Hotels) which is the reporting place for Golden Chariot Tour. Explore the Heritage Gardens of Taj West End followed by Tea and presentation on The Golden Chariot Tour and Cultural Activities. Later visit the ISCKON Temple (The International Society for Krishna Consciousness) followed by traditional welcome at Yeshwanthpur Railway Station before boarding The Golden Chariot for your Splendor Jewels of South Tour. Dinner will be served on board. Here you have successfully completed your third day of Splendor Jewels of South (Golden Chariot) Tour.

Day 4 Mamallapuram/Mahabalipuram and Chennai
After breakfast proceed for an excursion tour to Mamallapuram which is famous for its temples. On your way to Mamallapuram, you will pass through the Marina beach and busy streets of Chennai. Tour highlights will be UNESCO World Heritage sites of Temple of Rathas, the Penance of Bhagirathi and Shore Temple. Post sightseeing of Mamallapuram; proceed for Lunch at Radisson Blu Temple Bay Hotel (A 5 Star Hotel from Carlson Rezidor). Post Evening Tea; continue with the sightseeing and then departure of Puducherry/Pondicherry to board The Golden Chariot. Dinner will be served on board. Day 5 Pondicherry/Puducherry
After on board breakfast, proceed for Pondicherry sightseeing to visit the famous Auroville Ashram, Matra Mandir and shopping in the Ashram. In the afternoon return to The Golden Chariot for on board lunch. After lunch, walk through the beach town of Pondicherry, a former French colony radiates a Mediterranean sensation with French style architecture and boutiques. Later return to the train for your dinner and onward journey to Tiruchirappalli. Here you have successfully completed your fifth day of Splendor Jewels of South (Golden Chariot) Tour.

Day 6 Tiruchirappalli & Thanjavur
In the morning you will arrive and Thanjavur Railway Station. After breakfast, proceed for Thanjavur sightseeing. Thanjavur has always been famous for its art and culture. Thanjavur is popular for beautiful silk weaves, woven in gorgeous colors and designs along with Thanjavur Paintings, Dancing Dolls and Traditional Crafts. Tour highlights will be Tour highlights will be the ancient Brihadeeswarar Temple (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the Serfoji Maratha Palace and Bronze Art Gallery. In the afternoon, enjoy your lunch at Ideal River View Resort (http://www.idealresort.com) and then depart for Trichy/Tiruchirappalli. Trichy is situated on the banks of the River Kaveri and city is known for its educational institutions, industries, and temples. Tour highlights will be Sri Ranganatha Swami Temple. Day 7 Madurai Sightseeing
After breakfast on board, proceed for Madurai sightseeing, which is one of the oldest cities in Southern India. Madurai (The City of Divine Nectar) is famous for Silk, pearls and spices. Madurai is 2600 years old historical city which is surrounded by graceful natural plantation and located on the banks of River Vaigai. Tour highlights will be Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple, 1000 pillar temple and the museum. In the afternoon return to The Golden Chariot for your lunch and later visit to Gandhi Museum (Rani Mangammal Palace) and Thirumalai Nayak Palace for sound and light show. At the end of sightseeing tour, return to The Golden Chariot for your onward journey to Kanyakumari. Dinner will be served on board. Day 8 Madurai – Kanyakumari
Early morning proceed for a short sightseeing tour to Kanyakumari Sunrise Point that offers a unique vista on the convergence of 3 oceans i.e. Bay of Bengal, the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean. After Sunrise, return to The Golden Chariot for on board breakfast. After Breakfast, proceed for sightseeing tour to Padmanabhapuram Wooden Palace. Later return to The Golden Chariot for Lunch on board and onward journey to Kocchuveli station. On arrival at Kocchuveli, depart for Vivanta by Taj, Kovalam (A 5 Star Hotel from Taj Group) for Hi-Tea by the beach, followed by Cultural Show and Dinner at the hotel. Tour highlights will be Kochi Fort, Chinese Fishing Nets, and Shopping at Mattancherry.
