Overview

Numerous renowned wildlife sanctuaries in India's southern area are home to a diversity of wildlife species. If you want to learn more about the local fauna and enjoy the lush surroundings, this tour is ideal for you. You travel to well-known wildlife reserves including Nagarhole, BR Hills, Bandipur, Eravikulam, Periyar, and Kumarakom during the excursion. Delhi, Ooty, and Kochi are also included on the programme as sightseeing stops.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Delhi (By flight)

Arrive at Delhi International Airport, and transfer to your pre booked hotel. On arrival check-in to the hotel & relax. Spend the rest of the day in leisure.
 
Overnight stay in Delhi.
 

Day 2 Delhi

This morning after breakfast, visit Old Delhi. Walk through the lanes to make your way to the spice market, Sikh temple Sheeshganj and Jama Masjid. Later drive past Lutyens Delhi and then visit Lotus temple, a worship place of Bahai Faith.
 
After a wonderful day, return back to the hotel.

Day 3 Delhi – Bengaluru – Mysuru (By flight and approx. 03 hours drive)

Wake up early to check out after breakfast and transfer to the airport. Here, you will board the flight to Bengaluru. On arrival in Bengaluru, our representative will assist you with further transfer to Mysuru. Once you have arrived in Mysuru, check into the hotel and relax. Later, enjoy some sightseeing. Visit the majestic Mysore Palace, also known as the Amba Vilas Palace, which was built 15 years after it was commissioned in 1897 and later expanded in the 1940s. Brindavan Gardens is a lovely garden with colourful musical fountains.

Day 4 Mysuru – Nagarhole National Park (Approx. 1.5 hours drive)

Start out on your journey, after breakfast, to Nagarhole National Park, also known as Rajiv Gandhi National Park, which is situated around 60 kilometres from Mysuru. The park has a good population of tigers, elephants, and Indian bison with a healthy prey-predator ratio. Check into your jungle retreat when you arrive. An inside-the-national-park jeep safari tour is planned for the afternoon. Discover 270 different bird species while on a safari, as well as animals including leopards, wild dogs, sambars, barking deer, spotted deer, wild boar, Indian rock pythons, common toads, scimitar babblers, and four-horned antelopes.

Day 5 Nagarhole National Park

Wake up to a lovely morning and enjoy breakfast. There are a variety of things you can do to start your day. Choose from a wildlife safari in the early morning, bird watching in the park, or a coracle ride on the Kabini River. A jeep drive into the park is scheduled for this evening.

Day 6 Nagarhole National Park – Biligiri Rangan Hills (Approx. 04 hours drive)

Drive to B R Hills, also known as Biligiri Rangan Hills, after breakfast. Check into your tents when you arrive. Later, go on a trekking expedition to discover the amazing wildlife that inhabits the area near BR Hills. Observe the rich vegetation in the area.

Day 7 Biligiri Rangan Hills

After breakfast, visit the Biligiri Ranga Swamy Temple Wildlife Sanctuary, also known as the BRT Wildlife Sanctuary, to observe wildlife in the morning and evening. This 540 km2 park is home to a variety of wildlife, including sloth bears, deer, black naped hares, common langurs, small Indian civets, the rare four-horned antelope, Indian porcupines, clawless otters, and about 254 bird species. Return to your tents.

Day 8 Biligiri Rangan Hills – Bandipur National Park (Approx. 3.5 hours drive)

Drive to Bandipur National Park, one of the best-known wildlife preserves in southern India, after breakfast. Additionally, it is among the best maintained National Parks. Check into your jungle retreat when you arrive. After a delectable meal, go for a jeep safari inside the park.

Day 9 Bandipur National Park

After breakfast, the day is set for park bird watching as well as morning and evening wildlife viewing. Tigers, sloth bears, muggers, Indian rock pythons, chital, grey langurs, Indian giant squirrels, Indian chameleons, Indian pond terrapins, hoopoes, Indian rollers, brown fish owls, crested serpent eagles, etc. are just a few of the wildlife species that call the park home.

Day 10 Bandipur National Park – Ooty (Approx. 1.5 hours drive)

After breakfast, start your journey to Ooty, known as the "Queen of Hill Stations." This South Indian hill village sees a lot of visitors each year. Upon arrival, finish the check-in procedures at your hotel. Spend the day the way you like—visit the well-known locations like Ooty Lake and the Botanical Garden, shop at the neighbourhood market, mingle with the people, take a stroll through the tea estates, etc.

Day 11 Ooty – Munnar – Eravikulam National Park (Approx. 07 hours drive)

After breakfast today, start your journey to Munnar, a stunning and well-known hill resort in Kerala. It is often referred to as the state's capital of spices. arrive at Eravikulam National Park by vehicle. Check into your resort after arrival. You can go on a nature walk or just enjoy the surrounding lush greenery during the remaining free time of the day.

Day 12 Eravikulam National Park

After a delicious breakfast, proceed on a morning wildlife safari inside the national park, which is home to the Nilgiri Tahr, a critically endangered mountain goat native to South India. Nilgiri Langur, leopard, tiger, Indian bison, Sambar Deer, Golden Jackal, Jungle Cat, Wild dog, Dhole, leopard, Nilgiri Pipit, Nilgiri Wood Pigeon, White Bellied Shortwing, Nilgiri Verditer Flycatcher, etc. are some of the other wildlife species that you might see while on your safari. Rest of the time is at leisure.

Day 13 Eravikulam National Park – Periyar National Park (Approx. 3.5 hours drive)

This morning after breakfast, check out and proceed to Periyar National Park. Enjoy the scenic drive and the fresh air with lush greenery. Once you arrive in Periyar, check into the hotel and relax. Spend the rest of the day as you may like.

Day 14 Periyar National Park

A morning and night time boat cruise inside the sanctuary are planned for the day after breakfast. Spot animals including elephants, sambars, tigers, gaurs, lion-tailed macaques, Nilgiri langurs, mongooses, foxes, leopards, barking deer, mouse deer, Dhole, and approximately 320 different species of birds.

Day 15 Periyar National Park – Kumarakom (Approx. 3.5 hours drive)

After breakfast, begin the drive to Kumarakom, a popular tourist destination. Complete the check-in procedures at your reserved hotel upon arrival. Spend the day engaging in the activities you find enjoyable. For example, go on a walking tour of the neighbourhood or visit a popular destination like Vembanand Lake, where you may take a boat ride.

Day 16 Kumarakom

After breakfast, take a backwater cruise past villages, paddy fields, and coconut palms. Get transported afterwards to the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, a haven for bird watchers. Complete the check-in procedures at your lodge in the jungle. See a variety of avifauna species on your bird-watching trip, including migratory birds like the Siberian Crane as well as waterfowl, cuckoo, owl, egret, heron, parrots, teal, larks, flycatchers, and wood beetles.

Day 17 Kumarakom – Cochin (Approx. 1.5 hours drive)

After breakfast, take a road trip to Kochi. The day is set aside for sightseeing after arrival, visit Mattancherry Palace, St. Francis Church, Santa Cruz Basilica, Jew Town. Also, enjoy a Kathakali Performance in the evening.

Overnight stay in Cochin.

Day 18 Departure Day

After breakfast, get on-time transfer to the airport to board a flight to your onward destination or back home.
