‘Spiritual Tour to Tamil Nadu’ is well planned itinerary specially for Hindu devotees, which give you the opportunity to explore the renowned ancient temples of Tamil Nadu. Kanchipuram and Mahabalipuram (also called Mamallapuram), it is house of Group of Monument at Mahabalipuram which have been inscribed as UNESCO World Heritage Site, which were built during ancient times by several ruling dynasties. Pondicherry such as the coastline, which spread over 32 Kilometres, palm-fringed beaches, backwaters and fishing villages, it is also famous Sri Aurobindo Ashram is one of the most well known and wealthiest ashrams in India, with devotees from India and all over the world and Brihadishvara Temple, also called Rajarajesvaram or Peruvudaiyār Kōvil, is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva located in South bank of Kaveri river in Thanjavu in Tanjore. While taking this tour you will explore the glimpse of two different regions.The duration of the tour is 05 nights and 06 days, covering the places such as Chennai, Kanchipuram, Mahabalipuram, Pondicherry, Swamimalai and Tanjore.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Chennai

Tourist Attractions: - Fort St. George, St. Thomas Mount, San Thome Cathedral, Kapaleeswar Temple and the National Art Gallery

Upon arrival in Chennai, meet our representative, after welcome, proceed to the hotel.After finishing check-in formalities. Rest for a while. Post lunch, proceed for the major tourist attractions in Chennai include the Fort St. George, St. Thomas Mount, San Thome Cathedral, Kapaleeswar Temple and the National Art Gallery.

In the evening visit the beautiful Marina. Don’t try swimming at Marina beach since there are strong currents present along the shoreline and no rescue equipment’s and lifeguards are available at this beach.

Overnight stay in Chennai

Day 2 Chennai – Kanchipuram (About 74 Kms) – Mahabalipuram (About 66 Kms)

Tourist Attractions: - Kailasanthar Temple, Ekambareshwarar Temple, The Vardarajanperumal Temple and the Sakkiswarar Temple in Kanchipuram

Post breakfast; proceed towards Mahabalipuram, It is also known as Mamallapuram, it is a historical town renowned for its rock-cut shore temples.

En-route visiting Kanchipuram, The major Kanchipuram tourist attractions include visits to the Kailasanthar Temple, Ekambareshwarar Temple, The Vardarajanperumal Temple and the Sakkiswarar Temple.

After visit, resume the drive towards Mahabalipuram. On arrival, check-in at your pre-booked hotel.

Overnight stay in Mahabalipuram

Day 3 Mahabalipuram– Pondicherry (About 100 Kms)

Tourist Attractions: - Mahishasurmardini caves, the Five Ratha temple, The Shore Temple, Arjuna’s Penance and the Tiger caves

Today after breakfast, proceed to visit the major attractions the town, visit Mahishasurmardini caves, the Five Ratha temple (comprises of 5 monolithic temples in various patterns) and The Shore Temple. Also visit the other major attractions such as Arjuna’s Penance and the Tiger caves.

After the visit leave for Pondicherry. Puducherry (previously called Pondicherry) charms tourists with its three lined avenues, painted colonial buildings and sea breeze. In 1974, the French built a base here.

As on reaching Pondicherry, check-in at one our listed hotels. Rest and relax for the day. In the evening you may take a leisurely walk to the local market of Pondicherry.

Overnight stay in Pondicherry

Day 4 Pondicherry –Swamimalai (About 132 Kms) - Tanjore

Tourist attractions: - Palm-fringed beaches, backwaters, fishing villages Aurbindo Ashram and Auroville in Pondicherry and Murugan Temple in Swamimalai

Post breakfast, proceed to explore the major attractions of Pondicherry such as the palm-fringed beaches, backwaters and fishing villages. Later visit Aurbindo Ashram and Auroville.

After visit drive to Swamimalai. It is a religious town, located near Kumbakonam in Thanjavur District in Tamil Nadu. On reaching Swamimalai, check in to your pre booked hotel. Rest for a while, later in the day visit the Swamimalai Murugan Temple.

Overnight stay at Tanjore.

Day 5 Tanjore Sightseeing

Tourist attractions: - Vijayanagar Fort, Shiva Ganga Garden, Aalangudi temple, Brahadeshwara temple and the Chandra Bhagavan Temple

After breakfast, proceed to visit the major attractions the town It is the popular city of Tamil Nadu and an important centre of South Indian Art, culture and religion.

On reaching Tanjore, check-in to your pre booked hotel. After freshen up, proceed for a guided city tour of Tanjore including major tourist attractions such as the Vijayanagar Fort, Shiva Ganga Garden, Aalangudi temple, Brahadeshwara temple and the Chandra Bhagavan Temple. In the evening return to the hotel for overnight stay at hotel.

Day 6 Tanjore – Departure from Madurai (About 193 Kms)
